Dr. Greg Byrne, Doctor of Physical Therapy, believes that successful rehabilitation requires teamwork from both the therapist and the patient through constant communication that is directed toward returning the patient to their specific goals. He preaches that retraining proper movement mechanics and neuromuscular recruitment is paramount in ensuring a patient not only recovers, but stays healthy post therapy.
Dr. Greg completed his undergraduate schooling at Sacred Heart University where he received his Exercise Science degree in 2011. He then attended Duquesne University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015.
Dr. Greg is interested in continuing his education with courses in SFMA, Great Lakes Manual Therapy and Mulligan’s Mobilization with Movement.
Dr. Greg has an extensive background in his field of practice. From June 2011 to January 2015, Dr. Greg worked in various different clinics and healthcare settings, including Southern Ocean Physical Therapy, Premiere Orthopedics, UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital and HCR ManorCare. During these years, Dr. Greg gained invaluable hands-on experience in treating and evaluating patients, managing support groups and developing treatment programs for various conditions.
From March to July 2015, Dr. Greg completed two clinical experiences as part of his schooling. Between March and May, he worked at Easter Seals-Export, and then began at Human Motion Rehabilitation.
Dr. Greg is a native of East Brunswick, New Jersey. Outside of therapy, he loves to spend time with his friends and family, especially his brother, Sean. He also enjoys going to sporting events to cheer on the Knicks, Giants and Devils.
