Timothy Yu, PT, DPT, CSCS, USAW-1, Pn-1, is a physical therapist at NJ Spine and Wellness in Old Bridge, New Jersey. His focus is outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, which he delivers through personalized treatment plans that most effectively offer pain relief and rehabilitation after injury.
At NJ Spine and Wellness, Dr. Yu thoroughly reviews his patients’ medical records and physician referrals to accurately evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities to diagnose and plan physical therapy treatments.
Dr. Yu earned his bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, majoring in exercise science and sports studies. He then earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he served as class president.
While at Methodist University, Dr. Yu contributed to research involving the influence of inclined platform squats after ACL surgery. He presented his findings at the university’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Research Symposium and the Virginia Physical Therapy Association Fall Summit Poster Presentation in 2018.
To round out his education, Dr. Yu maintains certifications as an Emergency Medical Responder from the American Red Cross and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
