Timothy Sobo is Board-Certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the state of New Jersey. He graduated from New England School of Acupuncture with his Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and received his bachelor’s from Penn State University. He also holds certifications in corrective exercise and personal training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Tim strives to provide an evidence-based, comprehensive, and integrative approach to healthcare using the scientific understanding of Oriental medicine to improve the lives of people affected by disease.
His focus and specialty is in treating Orthopedics and Sports Medicine injuries. He works extensively with patients in treating a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions ranging from sprains and strains to chronic illness like arthritis.
He integrates classic Chinese medicine diagnostic techniques with modern sports medicine ones to determine the underlying root cause of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Once he arrives at the diagnosis he uses a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) needle points as well as trigger points, and motor points.
When he is not working Tim enjoy spending time with his wife and young son. He is an avid triathlete and martial artist.
