As a Licensed Acupuncturist and a ten year veteran of the healthcare industry as a former EMT, it’s safe to say that NJ native Courtney Winter knows how to best deal with life’s pains and stresses. Courtney’s love of healing manifested itself at a young age when she was always ready to assist with splinter removal and band aid application. Following her lifelong interest in health and healing lead her to complete her undergraduate studies at Montclair State University with a degree in Biology. Her quest for knowledge and understanding of holistic healthcare would take her much farther afield.
She received her Master’s degree from the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College. She has also interned in clinics such as the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Canandaigua, NY and Zhejiang Hospital in Hangzhou, China before establishing her own acupuncture practice here at NJ Spine & Wellness, Old Bridge NJ. She attributes her superior needle technique to steady hands and precision which has been honed through intricate origami, spinning her own yarn and knitting everything from socks to blankets. Courtney is passionate about using eastern medicine to improve her patients’ quality of life and believes that, “Acupuncture is beneficial because it treats not only the symptoms of disease but the underlying cause.”
